CAR CRUISE TIME IS COMING!   Cruises start Friday, April 3, 2009 and continue on the first Friday of every month through October, weather permitting.  Sponsored jointly by the Fenton Lions and Memories Car Club, the cruises are in the parking lot of Life Christian Church, just east of the Meramec River Bridge on Highway 30.  For the uninitiated, a car cruise is a free event, a gathering of old-car enthusiasts (that's old cars, not old enthusiasts!) where cars are displayed for the pleasure of the owners and viewers.  This is not a judged show, so if you have a classic rod (1979 or older), bring it out and show it off!  We'll be serving up the finest of fresh-from-the-grill brats, burgers, and dogs along with soda, nachos and other hand-held delicacies that you can enjoy while looking over these great memorable rides.  We're raising money for community vision awareness projects in the Fenton area as well as adding to our support of district, state, regional, national and international vision and hearing organizations and projects. Some of the beneficiaries of our efforts are the District Eye Care Committee, Missouri Lions Eye Research Foundation, Leader Dogs for the Blind, Mid-South Lions Sight and Hearing Services, and Lions Clubs International Foundation.
